The Eight-Year-Old Baby! is the second brainchild of the creative family band Robot Fox. Everybody Likes the Moon, the band’s first song has been well received here in the states and overseas. What started as a young boy’s school challenge to turn his ideas into reality has now become the musical group of engineer father Tim, son Christian, daughter Alanna and cameos by school teacher aunt Adrieanne. The group is based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where they get to enjoy Mardi Gras parades, boiled crawfish, and shrimp po’boys!
When Robot Fox decided to start recording their second release, they had to look no further than the imaginative eight year old Alanna. The youngest and most outspoken of the family proudly submitted her title, The Eight Year Old Baby! A comical carefree tune about remaining young at heart while growing up is rapped by father, daughter, and is written by the band. Dad, with a background in studio engineering tracked the vocals in his home studio, allowing the kids countless economical do overs without hindering their artistic expression.
Musically, The Eight Year Old Baby! expands on the fun playful sound of Everybody Likes the Moon with daughter Alanna performing many of the vocals. The now son Christian is writing many of the lyrics. And Dad, the leader of the group, is having the joy of co-creating with his quickly growing kids. This latest release by the group is destined to be an instant family hit song. The band is currently completing its debut album “Rhymes, Beats, and Melodies, which is due out in mid 2020.
